About ChargeGuard

ChargeGuard is a product of Qiyadon, built to help small-to-midsize US trucking carriers recover detention and accessorial charges they are owed but rarely collect.

Why Detention & Accessorial Recovery Matters

The Scale of the Problem

Detention and accessorial charges are a massive, uncollected revenue leak in trucking. In 2023, detention affected 39.3% of all truckload stops, costing the industry an estimated $15.1 billion—$3.6 billion in direct expenses and $11.5 billion in lost productivity, according to the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) 2024 driver detention study.

The Collection Gap

Despite the scale of the problem, 94.5% of fleets charge detention fees, but fewer than 50% of those invoices are actually paid. In 2023 alone, total time lost to driver detention exceeded 135 million hours in for-hire trucking, further highlighting the urgency of solving this problem, as documented in the ATRI 2024 study.

Who We Are

About Qiyadon

ChargeGuard is a product of Qiyadon, a company led by Ahmad Salim as Founding Board Member. We’re focused on solving real problems for small-to-midsize trucking carriers in the US. If you’d like to know more about us, feel free to reach out via our contact page.

Because Qiyadon is founder-led and deliberately focused on one problem, you’re dealing directly with the people building ChargeGuard -- not routed through tiers of support. That direct line matters here: detention and accessorial recovery only works when the specific terms and edge cases of your operation are actually understood, not treated as an afterthought.
